About
Semina Yi is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of California at Berkeley with a background in industrial and interaction design. She is particularly interested in nature-driven design approaches, focusing on how nature responds to diverse environments and harnesses energy for operation.
Prior to joining the group, Semina studied interaction design at Carnegie Mellon University and product design at the Parsons School of Design. Also, worked as a senior product designer at Kikkerland Design in NYC. Outside of design, she finds pleasure in practicing ikebana and wandering with her furry companion in nature.
