Lab Open House, Paper Awards and Organization at ACM DIS Conference

Morphing Matter Lab had a fruitful conference presence at the ACM Designing Interactive Systems (DIS) 2023, hosted in Pittsburgh.

Two honorable mention awards, one “Flexture” led by our super undergrad researcher Tate Johnson, and one collaboration work “Dancing Delicacies” led by Ph.D. student Jialin Deng from Monash University with our Ph.D. student Humphrey Yang as one of the co-authors.

Ph.D. student Lea Albaugh served as AC and session chair at the DIS conference.

Postdoc Qiuyu (Luca) Lu and Dinesh K Patel served as Video Chair and Video Chair Assistant.

The lab hosted a successful open house for attendees of the DIS conference. The event was coordinated by Lea Albaugh, with demos and presentations from Ph.D. Jianzhe Gu, Ke Zhong, Postdoc Luca Lu and Dinesh Patel, and research associates including Tucker Rae-Grant, Mengtian Gan, and Di Wu.
