Poster Demo at ACM C&C 2024

The Morphing Matter Lab has showcased an innovative project at the ACM Creativity and Cognition (C&C) 2024.

The research project, encapsulated by the paper titled “Speculative Morphing Matter: Designing a Sustainable Future via Morphing Materials,” was a series of speculative designs created by Monica Wan and Lining Yao. The project explores the boundaries of creative speculative design using morphing matter technology to propose sustainable design solutions within the HCI community. Monica Wan presented at the undergraduate symposium and the poster session during the conference and showcased the creative works through her poster. Using the approach of speculative design, the project envisions and advocates for a deeper integration of ecological consciousness and organic innovations in future technological advancements, paving the way for a more harmonious relationship between humans and nature.

Kudos to Monica Wan and Lining Yao for their contributions to sustainable HCI technology.
