About

Mako Miyatake is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at University of California at Berkeley, advised by Prof. Lining Yao. Her research interests are in the interdisciplinary field of food and engineering. She designs interactive food systems that combine computational fabrication, AI, and embodied interaction to support reflective and personalized food experiences.

She received a B.E. and M.E. degree in Information and Communication Engineering from the University of Tokyo. She also learned professional cooking skills at Tsuji Culinary Institute and obtained a chef's license in Japan.
